Below are a list of Maple Ridge hikes rated easy, intermediate and difficult. I have also included hikes in the Pitt Meadows region in this list as well. Reading guide: RT= round trip and EG= elevation gain. This is just a general guide and return time is based on an average hiker.

  • Pitt Wildlife Loop (4 hour RT, 15km, minimal EG)
  • Mike Lake Loop (0.75 hour RT, 2km, minimal EG)
  • Spirea Nature Trail (2 hour RT, 5km, 136m EG)
  • Alouette Valley Trail (7 hour RT, 14km, minimal EG)
  • Menzies Trail (9 hour RT, 18km, minimal EG)

 

INTERMEDIATE TRAILS

 

  • UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest (3 hour RT, 8km, 140m EG)
  • Golden Ears Canyon Loop (4 hour RT, 12km, 185m EG)
  • Viewpoint Trail (3 hour RT, 4km, 250m EG)
  • Eric Dunning Trail (2 hour RT, 2.4km, 200m EG)
  • Incline Trail (2 hour RT, 2.4km, 150m EG)
  • West Canyon Trail to Alder Flats (4 hour RT, 11km, 280m EG)
  • East Canyon Trail (4 hour RT, 11km, 273m EG)

 

DIFFICULT TRAILS

 

  • Golden Ears Peak (12 hour RT, 24km, 1500m EG)
  • Evans Peak (7 hour RT, 12km, 950m EG)
  • Alouette Mountain via West Canyon (8 hour RT, 11km, 1170m EG)
  • Alouette Mountain via Mike Lake (10 hour RT, 20km, 1100m EG)
  • Mount Nutt (7 hour RT, 10.6km, 932m EG)
  • Blanshard Peak (12 hour RT, 13.5km, 1360m EG)
